Spherical Air Bearings SRA350-R30 / 620-39131
The SRA350 air bearing has a stiffness of over 3 million pounds per inch and supports over 1000 pounds. Typical for the SRA series, these spherical air bearings provide smooth, frictionless rotary motion surpassing performance of the finest rolling element bearings by orders of magnitude. Deep capture of the sphere allows for a high side load capacity. Pneumatic hammering of the air film can plague an air bearing design and result in unstable bearing performance. Unlike other spherical air bearings, the SRA series eliminates this possibility by including vibration dampening features within the design.
